Last week we got a special opportunity to celebrate the success of Cordie students passing through the CIPS Graduation Ceremony at Peterborough Cathedral in the UK. Our own director and co-founder of Cordie, Ian Thompson FCIPS, was among the special guests of honour on this year’s graduation platform and was able to witness the celebrations at first hand.
“Graduating from your CIPS professional qualifications with the MCIPS designated letters behind your name is a special milestone in anyone’s procurement career. I was thrilled to cheer on several Cordie learners as they stepped up to the platform and received their certificates from Ben Farrell MBE the CIPS chief executive officer.”
Gaining MCIPS is a recognised change in professional membership status with the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS). There are several ways of achieving this professional award, but by far the greatest achievement is via the “qualifications” route where student members are required to attain their Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Professional Diploma along the way.
Cordie has over 200 active learners from around the world currently studying their CIPS exams, including approximately 80 UK procurement apprentices. Based on the attendance at this year’s Graduation Ceremony, we could have filled the hall.
