Renewed Matrix Standard Accreditation for Cordie!

Great news for all our learners and clients! Cordie has been successful in our re-accreditation of the Matrix Standard for our on-going provision of Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) to CIPS learners and students.

The Matrix Standard is is an international quality standard run by the UK’s Department of Education. Its purpose is to promote the wider aspects of learning and development among our learners and their employers.

Information, advice and guidance (IAG) is an essential element of any professional learning provider in supporting customers through their learning. It includes many aspects of support, including helping learners to select the right training and education for themselves as an individual and also in helping them grow professionally in terms of knowledge, skills, behaviour and also attitudes. You can find out more here.

The matrix assessment is a wide-ranging quality assessment and includes interviewing customers, tutors, programme coordinators and learning partners. The scope includes aspects of choosing the right course curricula, appropriate types of learning, career advice, personal & professional development, and general welfare support. In essence, IAG is about us acknowledging and supporting your individual development holistically, rather than just completion of a training course.

In completing the accreditation, Cordie was noted for our strengths in customer service and service delivery. We have been acknowledged as operating ‘learner-centred’ service provision, as well as having a genuinely positive attitude towards the continuous improvement of our services. Other noteworthy praise included our positive approach towards collaborating with other learning partners in order to offer a ‘joined up’ service for our learners.

This is a fantastic achievement for Cordie and I would like to congratulate the team on their success. We believe that at the heart of high-quality advice and support services are strong leadership, excellent service and a focus on continuous improvement, all underpinned by effective use of the resources available.  The matrix standard is designed to benchmark organisations against best practice in these areas. With their accreditation success, Cordie is working to provide the best possible support to their clients.

Specific areas of IAG that were praised include Cordie’s:

  • Mental Health Awareness training by our qualified MH support staff

  • Exam essay-writing skills workshops by our qualified English teachers

  • Presentation skills workshops

  • Employability and career progression insight sessions

  • Social value training.

The introduction of your Level 3 Procurement & Supply Assistant qualification has been a great success, allowing for a pathway for many learners for whom Level 4 would be too challenging. The proof of your success is in your on-going 100% pass-rate in every exam and all qualifications!
