Great news! Our procurement apprenticeship services are continuing to expand with the award of another large Government apprenticeship contract. Here, we lift the lid on the UK’s largest procurement apprenticeship contract awarded to Cordie.
Acting on behalf of Central Government, the Cabinet Office recently awarded Cordie a 3+2 year contract to continue providing the Level 4 Procurement & Supply Practitioner Apprenticeship across the civil service. Arguably, this is the largest contract of its kind awarded for procurement apprenticeships with nearly 300 places up for grabs over the next few years.
“This expansion builds on our recent apprenticeship successes and our phenomenal exam pass-rates. Our mission to be “the Number One procurement apprenticeship provider” is continuing to become a reality as a our reputation for excellence grows.”
To make this award, the Cabinet Office was looking for some specific differentiators from the rest of the market:
They needed their provider to have excellent information security and Cordie offers this with full ISO 27001 certification, as well as Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation;
They were looking for delivery model excellence, and Cordie was able to demonstrate this with its current local authority, central government, NHS and private sector customers;
They were looking for ‘best in class’ for procurement training, and Cordie has been a CIPS “centre of excellence” since 2013 with some of the highest exam pass-rates in the world;
They were seeking additional social value from the placement of such a large contract, and Cordie was able to evidence how this contract would help in the fight to tackle economic inequality.
In terms of feedback, Cordie was told:
“This was an exemplary submission that demonstrates a sophisticated alignment with the Education Inspection Framework ...proving a commitment to continuous quality improvement and “Ofsted-ready” delivery.”
This contract further underlines Cordie’s presence in the market as the UK’s Number One Procurement Apprenticeship Provider. Over the next few months we will be working closely with central government departments to embed the contract and continue to offer excellent value to the civil service.
